One of the things that stands out to me about Christian Living is that how we treat each other matters to God. A lot. Don Francisco’s song, “The Steeple Song,” came up in my Spotify playlist yesterday, and it has been rattling around my head since.
I will include the lyrics below, and pick out a couple that stand out!

The following song verse is a reflection of Matthew 25: 35-40 in the Bible.
“Lord, when were You a prisoner
But we did not come to You
When was it that we saw You sick
That we didn’t follow through
Every time you turned your head
And pretended not to see
When you did it not to the least of these
You did it not to Me.”
The fact is that we can do all the Church things like gathering on Sunday, and during the week, but it is how we conduct ourselves on a day to day basis that matters. If we expect God to forgive us, do we forgive others? If we want Him to heal us, do we in turn provide comfort to the sick? Do we “live” the Gospel?
We can have all the trappings of a Christian life, and believe all the right doctrine, but if it’s just in our heads, and not in our heart, and not walked out in our daily lives, it counts for nothing.
We are made in His image. And we who claim to carry His name need to walk in a manner that brings glory to His name. That is what really stirred me about this song.
